The work content and completed results of this project for the year 109 are briefly described as follows.
1. To inspect, maintain, evaluate, and complete groundwater monitoring wells in the county to improve the functions of the wells, so as to keep track of the trend of changes in groundwater quality, to prevent or monitor groundwater pollution, and to protect the increasingly precious groundwater resources.
(1) Completed the inspection of monitoring wells in the first half of FY109, and carried out maintenance and renewal of 23 wells and rehabilitation of 11 wells.
(2) Completed 45 well condition assessments, 23 well completions, 5 foreign object removals, and 5 abandoned wells.
(3) The list of monitoring wells and data were updated in the first and second half of the year.
2. Organized and promoted lectures on soil and groundwater pollution prevention and control related laws and technologies.We have completed 1 lecture on soil and groundwater pollution laws and regulations, 12 storytelling activities in schools, and 1 training session for seed teachers.
3.Assist in emergency response to soil and groundwater contamination incidents. Investigate, verify and respond to contamination at sites at risk of soil and groundwater contamination in order to effectively control the impact of contamination and mitigate or avoid possible environmental hazards at the sites. Six emergency response exercises for soil and groundwater contamination have been completed.
4.The regular monitoring of groundwater in the south bank of Zhonggang Creek during the abundant and dry periods has been completed.
5. The site verification operations for the completion of the soil control site improvement in the Miaoli Interchange have been completed at Lot 107, Section ○○, Tongxiao Township, Lot 1120-1, Dasanjia Section, Houlong Township, Lot 422, 422-1, 422-2, 422-3, Gongguan Subsection, Zhunan Township (○○○○ Co., Ltd., Zhunan Plant) and the Miaoli Interchange.
6. Assisted in the examination of 28 cases in accordance with the Soil and Groundwater Contamination Remediation Law and Articles 8 and 9 and related regulations, and carried out completeness, legality, and reasonableness examinations of soil contamination assessment surveys and inspection data reporting, and completed two on-site investigations.
7. Promote site progress for the 2 stalled sites within the jurisdiction.
8. Conducted site surveys for three large oil depots (○○ mine, ○○ mine, and ○○ mine).A total of 16 soil and 2 groundwater samples were collected and analyzed for the above samples.
9. Completed the on-site counseling and investigation of highly polluting potential factories handed over by the EPA, and conducted 5 soil sampling analyses and 3 groundwater sampling analyses.
10. The leak detection tube function test and oil gas inspection were conducted for 10 gas stations in the area, and a GC quantitative analysis was conducted for the most abnormal side values based on the results.
